Valiant To Give Away 100,000 Copies Of Faith #1 2nd Print To Comic Stores
Valiant Comics are announcing at the Diamond Retailer Lunch at San Diego Comic-Con that Faith #1 sold out a day after its July 20th release…and that they'll be printing and distributing 100,000 copies of a free second printing to retailers to be in stores on August 24th alongside Faith #2 and Generation Zero #1.
Which… is a pretty good thing.
These issues will be 48 pages long and carry advance promo material for each book in The Future Of Valiant wave that began with Faith #1. So this is a big push to use the success of Faith as an entry point into the entire Valiant line.
The second printings will come bundled in units of 20 and carry a $2.99 cover price – and Valiant are encouraging retailers to deeply discount them or even give them away to potentially interested customers.
This follows on the heels of a lot of big Faith news – including the announcement that the ongoing series is the #1 independent superhero launch of the year (until we see Jupiter's Legacy 2 figures) and Monday's news in the Washington Post that Hillary Clinton will be appearing in Faith #5 in November.
