Year Of The Goat #7 Lands on Kickstarter
I just launched the newest issue of my self published independent comic book series, Year of the Goat. The series is about an evil that spreads throughout the world in the form of killer demonic Goats. Telling the premise of the story usually generates laughs or 'whaaaaats?'
But fans who have read the series back to Issue one keep coming back for more. Each kickstarter campaign generates more pledges than the previous which is a result of loyal fans wanting to know what happens next and newcomers who are ready to jump into the fray.
The campaign is going well! We are almost half way through and our $2,250 goal is very close to being met. Besides the growing fan base, innovative rewards keep the pledges coming. I had the crew at DS Custom make a set of action figures featuring the series antagonist, The Stranger. The figures are amazing and include full articulation, a long rifle weapon, removable hat and are on a full color card back with bubble
Also contributing to pledges is our first stretch goal of $2,500. If we hit the level in pledges, every backer pledging $25 or more will receive a Print of the comic with the Exclusive Cosplay Cover. The very beautiful MegaWatt Cosplay posed as series character Blue Bell and the shot is incredible. Using a model to bring the comic book character to life is something I haven't seen before in indie comics.
My precious campaigns were just marketed to comic book fans. Now, I have have something I can cross market to action figure collectors and the cosplay community.
The Year of the Goat Issue 7 kickstarter campaign is now live at https://www.kickstarter.com/
From now until the end of the campaign, every backer who pledges $25 or more and mentions BleedingCool will receive a sticker and magnet set valued at $15.
