Charlie Day Thinks a Luigi's Mansion Film Would Make a Great Movie
In an interview with ScreenRant, Day was interviewed with fellow Mario cast members Keegan-Michael Key and Anya Taylor-Joy, when the subject of a Luigi's Mansion film came up. He said, "Oh? First time hearing. I would be thrilled to do Luigi's Mansion, just because it's such a fun game. And not that you would make it like a horror movie for kids, but it could have some more sort of jump scares in it, which would be fun. […] It does seem like it would make a great movie, but I am not… They don't put me in charge of movie studios and for good reason. I got no idea. […] I wouldn't want the job, personally. Don't give me that. Yeah, it'd be a lot of pressure. But if they do it, I'm in."

In case you haven't seen the series of games, Luigi's Mansion has you playing as the titular character, investigating a haunted mansion, using your trusty vacuum cleaner to capture them. All three games in the series would work well for a film adaptation if they chose to make one. But currently, the only films on Nintendo's slate are The Legend of Zelda movie set to launch in 2027 and the rumored Donkey Kong film. Here's hoping that the fans get the powers that be interested in making one for what's slowly becoming the Nintendo Cinematic Universe.
