The writer of Chew, John Layman, and the artist in Dicks, John McCrea are working together on a new version of Mars Attacks from IDW, coming out in June.
Both are known for creating absolutely outrageous atrocities poured upon their characters for maximum comic effect, and I have to say, it makes for a rather intriguing mix[...]

With a first issue cover doing its best impersonation of Action Comics #1, starting from April with a new series from IDW written by Roger Langridge, and drawn by Bruce Ozella.
Langridge's skill with The Muppets was to make the stories as good as you remember them – not as good as they were, the originals[...]

Chris Ryall, editor-in-chief of IDW, recently tweeted;

What might have caused such a proclamation? Could it have been Mike Costa, talking about writing Transformers comics?
He was asked if he even liked Transformers anymore,[...]
Not at Marvel or DC you understand, they're far too cool for kneecap curlicules these days – but for IDW.

So you'll probably be seeing it in 2012, rather than 2013.
The cover to Next Men Aftermath #1 above does seem to show all of history coming together at once, rather like The Wedding Of River Song… and of course IDW publish both Next Men and Doctor Who.
John Byrne writes;
