Kurt Angle Returns To Ring At TLC In Place Of Roman Reigns, AJ Styles Replaces Bray Wyatt
WWE has announced that Kurt Angle will replace Roman Reigns in the 3 vs. 5 match planned for Tables, Ladders, And Chairs this Sunday. Angle will team with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to take on The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, and Kane. It's Angle's first match in a WWE ring in over 11 years. In addition, AJ Styles will replace Bray Wyatt in his planned match against Finn Balor.
WWE cited medical issues affecting the two superstars who will not be at the show. It was recently rumored that Wyatt, along with his real-life brother Bo Dallas and announced JoJo Offerman (who has been linked with Wyatt in the past) have been absent from WWE television of late due to viral meningitis. AJ Styles missed a WWE event this week due to stomach flu, but is apparently feeling better. Kevin Owens was reportedly sent home from a WWE tour of Argentina and Chile today for undisclosed personal issues.
It's unknown what malady could be afflicting Roman Reigns, but whatever it is, it's certainly not making him look strong. It has, on the other hand, made TLC, available on the WWE Network and on PPV this Sunday, a hell of a lot more interesting.
