This Week's X-23 Confirms Series Ending in May

This week's issue of X-23 confirms the writing that was on the wall for Marvel's best Wolverine ongoing. X-23 will apparently end with May's X-23 #12. Though Marvel hasn't officially announced the book's cancellation, no solicitation for the book appeared in June's solicitaions, released last month. The solicitation for May's X-23 #12 certainly looked pretty final as well:

But X-23 #11, released this week, puts the final adamantium nail in X-23's coffin, as the issue ends with the text:

This Week's X-23 Confirms Series Ending in May

X-23 was a relaunch of All-New Wolverine, a series which lasted 35 issues and sold in the range of 25,000-30,000 copies for its final few issues in 2018, according to Comichron estimates. X-23 #1 launched in July with over 90,000 copies sold according to those same estimates, but by February's X-23 #9, those numbers were back down to 25,000. Perhaps it's just time for another relaunch to goose those sales again?

Hopefully, we'll learn more soon, as Laura, Gabby, and Jonathan are easily the top 3 Wolverines in the Marvel Universe, and it will be a shame if their adventures don't continue to be featured in an ongoing series.
