Doctor Strange to End in September… as Doctor Strange Quits?
Another Marvel comic is on the chopping block in September, but this time, it doesn't appear to be low sales that's leading to the cancellation of Doctor Strange, as the title sells around the mid-range for Marvel ongoings. Instead, the solicit for September's Doctor Strange #20 claims that "an event so epic" it "shakes Doctor Strange to the core and makes him completely reevaluate his life and role."
The solicit confirms that this event is so big that the series will end with Doctor Strange #20… but what does that mean for Strange himself? Will he pick up a new occupation and launch a new comic book? Bartender Strange, a modern take on the movie Cocktail? Or something else?
We'll have to wait until September to find out, but for now, check out the solicit below.
