Frank Frazetta's Cover Art For ComicBooks For Kids

In October of last year, ComicBooks For Kids announced their first colouring book, which we announced here. Mark Weiss, president of ComicBooks For Kids stated that the response was so great and so many artists wanted to contribute that he created a Volume 2. Artists were to include in no particular order, Frank Frazetta, Will Eisner, Hal Foster, Kevin Eastman, Jeff Smith, Mike Kaluta, Mike Grell, Dave Stevens, Jim Steranko, Neal Adams, Tim Seeley, Stan Sakai, Art Baltazar, Bill Reinhold, Shawn McManus, Aaron LoPresti, Michael Ploog, Topper Helmers, a total of 38 different artists.

And thanks to Robert Pistella, Sara Frazetta and Frazettagirls.com, they will have a limited edition of the colouring book with new cover art from the late Frank Frazetta that does not appear in previous editions of the book and limited to 75 copies. The organisers state that 100% of the proceeds of this colouring book will be used to print regular copies of the book, with over 2000 opies sent out to hospitals. But copies of the Frazetta variant are available on eBay for $30 each or by contacting Hooked On Comics in Lebanon Pennsylvania. Books should start shipping next week,

On the first volume, Mark Weiss stated, "We wanted to share our love of this industry with the kiddos in the hospital. We prepared this 56-page colouring book for kids of all ages as there is art included for all skill levels including adults. The paper quality is top of the line and all pages are perforated for easy removal. We also wanted to allow those who have aspirations of participating in this industry a chance to both help out the kids and get their talents showcased for others to see. There is a reason we entitled this book Legends and when you see the art we think you will agree. We are also  posting on our web site the pictures that are sent to us by the kiddos and their parents."
