A Galaxy Called Dallas Closes This Weekend – Third Texan Comic Store in a Month
Bleeding Cool previously reported on Austin Books & Comics closing their discount comics store Sidekick Comics, in Austin, Texas.
We also reported on Multiverse Comics in Hurst, Texas closing – though they are intending to reopen in a new location.
Now we report the full closure of a third Texan comic store, A Galaxy Called Dallas, closing. They posted on their Facebook page,
Sadly, we are closing up shop. Sales just haven't been enough to support the shop and so our last day will be this Sunday 2/24.
Until further notice, all product is 50% off. Come in even if you're not shopping. We'd love to see you one last time.
With many mournful comments from dedicated customers – who let Bleeding Cool kmow about it. They also said;
Even though this is our last weekend, we are still playing Heroclix Friday night at 7pm at the shop and our Geek Gab Nights (2nd Saturdays) and Sci-fi Meetups (3rd Saturdays) will continue, just at different locations. We are closing the shop, not leaving the community! Love ya'll!
Bleeding Cool tries to mark the passing of comics stores as well as their opening. Existing fanbases are likely to make the former more well known, but please let us know if a comic store is opening or closing in your neighbourhood. Just e-mailrichjohnston@bleedingcool.com.
