I've Just Had A Terrible Thought About Those Marvel Teasers.

FirstFirst we got Marvel #1.

Then we got 52 cuts.

Each with a Marvel NOW logo.

Earlier I suggested this was a nose tweaking for DC's New 52.

One reader suggested that 2013 was 52 years since Fantastic Four #1, the first "modern" Marvel comic and the beginning of the Marvel Universe.

What If… Marvel are creating the Now 52 for 2013? That's basically what the countdown poster says. Marvel Now 52. Hell… are there fifty-two characters in the FIRST poster?

I've no idea what that would mean. But it would tweak that nose even further… and that would be just like Marvel wouldn't it?
