Jack Kirby's Lord Of Lights For Heavy Metal Magazine – And Chris Burnham's Take On It All

Those who went past Chris Burnham's table in Artists Alley at San Diego Comic Con will have had a nice surprise.

We learned that Heavy Metal Magazine are reissuing Jack Kirby's Lord Of Lights prints from the seventies.

Lord Of Lights was the planned film project, based on the Roger Zelazny novel, that would see the finished set be turned into a science fiction film park in Colorado, and Kirby was commissioned to create the set design, before the project never made it to production.

Some of the set designs were used by the CIA to create a fictitious film project to rescue American diplomatic staff in Iran, made famous by the recent movie Argo.

Not only will we see them in all their glory in Heavy Metal, but also Chris Burnham has been commissioned to reinterpret them in his own vision.
