Joss Whedon Confirms Directing Avengers Movie. Also That Bears Poo In Woods.

"That is not an official thing. But I'm making that an official thing: I'm directing the Avengers."

That's what Joss Whedon said in Entertainment Weekly's Visionaries Panel at San Diego, with JJ Abrams.

What he didn't say is the dates for filming The Avengers in Manhattan, following up on a previous Bleeding Cool piece.  Pre-production and production are scheduled from October 2010 to March-April 2011.

And, yes I used the wrong visual. Well, I thought it was funny.
