The Metal Report: Flash #33, The Merciless, Teen Titans #13, And Wonder Woman #33 [SPOILERS]
Teen Titans #13 would like to remind you that they were part of a recent Metal crossover, even though that aspect is all done now.
I think they miss it. Well, they would, wouldn't they? DC Comics are much more fun when they are suffering from metal poisoning. Pretty much anything can happen — and you can be guaranteed the old Task Force X aren't looking out for it.
Look, they have an astronaut with a stetson. Just saying. Which means today's Flash #33 kicking off the new Metal crossover Bats out of Hell lets us know that the Cyborg-ish Metal Machine has other Flash knowledge.
Well, it looks like Bart Allen was an Impulsish Flash in Metal Machine's world. You know, at least he was. Is that the first Bart Allen-as-Flash moment we've had for a while? And as for Flash, we get a number of potential futures as the Dark Nights try to get the cosmic tuning tower from Crisis on Infinite Earths for The Batman Who Laughs and Barbatos, we also get to see one Future Flash…
…who bears more in common with the Anti-Monitor himself. Is that a Flash of Infinite Worlds? There is also the publication of what will likely be the week's bestselling comic, Dark Nights: The Merciless, with a Batman who was in love with Wonder Woman, and had her taken away…
…and sought revenge as the God of War. Because that's all it takes, apparently — the choice of headgear.
Exactly. Be warned, though: the Merciless has a bit of a weepy ending that might catch you unawares. Keep a tissue or two handy. And talking of becoming — and killing — gods, it looks like Baby Darkseid, who cameoed in the first issue of Metal, has got a taste for such things over at Wonder Woman #33. We go recent flashback mode:
Any new parents will instantly relate.
Okay, mostly relate. They can be very picky, though. So what Metallic revelations did you have today?
