Robbing The Church Blind – Matt Hawkins Announces The Tithe, A New Image Comic With Rahsan Ekedal
In an interview for podcast We Talk Comics, Top Cow President Matt Hawkins gave details on the next book he's doing with Rahsan Ekedal while Think Tank is on hiatus.
"I always wanted to do a robbery story so he and I cooked one up. Let's do a heist thing, just a quick miniseries. Something original, something different, what can we do, what can we hit?
"I thought I bet those mega churches have a lot of money, how come nobody ever robs them? So I put together a story, started researching it and found some of these churches are raising upwards of $50 Million in cash a year, or a few hundred thousand dollars a week… That's worth hitting.
"So the bad guys are really kind of good guys, but the F.B.I. are still taking them down"
The Tithe will be a full colour book and if they like the way it looks, Matt says he and Rahsan will launch a similar colouring process for the next volume of Think Tank.
