The Take Two Interactive Banners Rejected By New York Comic Con For Nudity
This is the cover to Behold #1, the new comic publishing in December from Double Take, the comic book imprint of Take-Two Interactive.
And this is the cover to Rise #5, also from Double Take.
Both were rejected by New York Comic Con as imagery being shown at the show. Take Two/Double Take are planning to give away ten thousand graphic novels at the show, and had bought an 8 foot tall advertising board for the NYCC lobby area to point this out.
However, the Reed Expo, the company behind NYCC, has asked Take Two to resubmit materials for approval as the images above were considered too "suggestive".
Naturally Take Two is upset, they went through this with Hot Topic not too long ago. Maybe they should save the images for Red Pop's Paris Comic Con and switch to extreme violence images for NYCC instead. America's much more okay with that.
What do you think? And is anyone going to tell the cosplayers?
