More Comic Creators And Actors Receiving Bills For Being Guests At STXCon

Bleeding Cool previously reported on Texas' STXCon from November – and how a number of guests suddenly found themselves charged for their hotel rooms, as the hotel claimed they had not been paid by the promoter.

Similar experiences had been reported by other guests, Sara Richard, Pop Mhan,Timothy Lim and Randy Havens.

Now Chris Oz Fulton, trading card artist, told Bleeding Cool he had suddenly been charged for his November hotel room. Writer Elizabeth Sweet was in the same boat.

While Youtuber MissShadowLovely also suffered the same ignominy.

And as for Sara Richard who first broke cover over these charges, she's on the way to managing to get the charges refunded through her Bank Of America credit card.

People are urged to contact their credit card provider over this issue. Other advice is to try not to give your own credit card to hotels in such situation, either calling the promoter of the event, or offering to pay a cash deposit for the room.

Bleeding Cool has received no response to inquiries made to the STXCon promoters.
