Jeff Lemire And Dean Ormston's Black Hammer To Spread Its Wings For San Diego?

Black Hammer by Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston has been running at Dark Horse Comics for a year, and gotten itself Eisner Award-nominated in the process. The twelfth issue is solicited for August … but what then?

Once they were heroes, but that age has long since passed. Banished from existence by a multiversal crisis, the old champions of Spiral City—Abraham Slam, Golden Gail, Colonel Weird, Madame Dragonfly, and Barbalien—now lead simple lives in a timeless farming town. Even as they try to find their way home, trouble has a unique way of finding heroes wherever they are!

We're hearing that Dark Horse has plans to expand the world of Black Hammer. Just as Hellboy has spun off into BPRD, Abe Sapien and more, so Black Hammer is going to expand its reach into new spinoff titles. Well, with a world of suprheroes to explore, there are many possibilities inherent in that.Expect an official announcement ahead of SDCC.

Expect an official announcement ahead of San Diego Comic-Con. Only a couple of weeks away…
