Bonanza Books and Comics of California to Close After 44 Years – Unless They Can Find a Buyer in 3 Weeks

As 2017 closes out, so will Bodesta Books And Comics, after 44 years operating in Modesto, California in four locations. And the only thing that can save it now is if someone buys it in the next three weeks.

Bill Allen and Lillian Allen have owned and run the store since 1973 — longer than many of their customers have been alive. And now it's time for them to retire. But with no buyer having come forward, they will have no choice but to close it all up.

To our customers and friends

We have some news to share with all of you. The Bonanza family has plans to retire the business as of december 30, 2017.

Over the last 44 years, we have had so many exciting events to share with our customers and friends, and we will surely miss this part of our lives. We want to thank all of you for your loyalty and friendship.

Special sale event beginning in December.

Our inventory reduction sale will begin December 5, 2017 and continue until December 23, 2017, or as long as suppies last. Be sure to come by early to take advantage of our sale prices and stock up on those items for Christmas that you have always wanted.

Again, we want to thank you all for a wonderful 44 years.

Have a merry christmas and a happy 2018.

Or.. Just buy the place and you can live the dream for the next 44 years.
