Mark Russell, the comic book writer who gave us these Flintstones…

Is returning to Dynamite Entertainment for a new relaunch of the Red Sonja comic book, with artist Mirko Colak, colourist Dearbhla Kelly and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Paste Magazine was given the PR and they quote series editor Nate Cosby saying "Sonja will be the focus, but what's exciting is to see the lore and world-building that Mark's infusing into this new ongoing, to create a fusion of modern storytelling while placing big classical elements front and centre."

The current series concludes in January 2019 with this relaunch in February. And there are a bevvy of variant covers – well, it is Dynamite after all – from Amanda Conner, Joseph Michael Linsner, Christian Ward and Frank Cho.
