Amy Chu and Ariela Kristantina's Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft comic book series coming from Dark Horse Comics in August 2026

Planned as a companion comic book to Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, the new TRPG book from Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft is a new comic book series by Amy Chu, Ariela Kristantina and Arif Prianto, launching from Dark Horse Comics in August 2026.

"Dark Horse Comics and Hasbro's Wizards of the Coast division present DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Ravenloft, a new four-issue genre-bending comic series that will unite Rudolph van Richten's protégés from across the horrifying domains of Ravenloft. The miniseries is written by Bram Stoker Award–winning author Amy Chu (Carmilla: The First Vampire, Red Sonja), with line art by Ariela Kristantina (The Girl Who Draws on Whales, Adora and the Distance), colors by Arif Prianto (Poison Ivy, Green Lantern Corps), and letters by Haley Rose-Lyon (BUMP: A Horror Anthology, Jill and the Killers). Issue #1 will feature cover art by Guillem March, Riley Rossmo, Francesco Francavilla, Todor Hristov, and Angela Wu."

Dark Horse Comics has a licensing partnership with Hasbro's subsidiary Wizards of the Coast that focuses on tabletop gaming properties:Dungeons & Dragons. Dark Horse began publishing new D&D comics and graphic novels under this license starting in 2025, including original stories like The Fallbacks. Dark Horse is also producing new comics, graphic novels, and art books expanding the MTG universe. The partnership was publicly announced in July 2024 and the deal allows Dark Horse to expand these RPG and card game universes with new narrative content, similar to how they handle other licensed worlds.
