Today's Batman #141 from Chip Zdarsky, Jorge Jiminez and Dustin Nguyen is the end of the Mindbomb story arc, and sees Batman take on his own backup personality, Zur-En-Arrh, downloaded to the robot he designed to defeat himself if ever needed, Failsafe. It's like this is a Marvel movie, with Batman taking on himself. Though unlike a Marvel movie (spoilers), he is defeated at the end. Imprisoned, with a Dark Prisons arc coming in March. But between then and now, we have Joker Year One. How will we get from one to the other?

With Bruce Wayne, imprisoned for the rest of his life, with a certain recognisable cellmate.

Because it looks like Zur-En-Arrh in the Failsafe suit managed to do what Bruce Wayne hasn't been able to do for some time. Defeat and imprison the Joker… and maybe even broke his back in the process.

So we are about to get a new origin of the Joker. But will it be more believable than any of the others? And watch for Batman to go weekly for a bit in February…
