A Comic Show – Superman, Thor, A Green Lantern And X-O Manowar Reborn!

Hey Fandom! This week had some great comics with payoff for long running storylines. Action Comics #976, the final of the four part Superman Reborn, was to me the most satisfying outcome possible for the whole pre-flashpoint and New 52 Supermen and Lois Lanes. Superman Rebirth has finally gotten Superman right! Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #17 keeps moving at a breakneck pace. We got the aftermath of Guy Gardner and Akillo's brawl and the next big thing for Kyle Rayner. Also rob Venditti will be here at A Comic Shop for an impromptu signing March 22nd from 6 pm until 8 or 9. Doom Patrol #5 cements it as my favorite DP run (sorry Morrison). And The Flintstones volume one is out.

Iron Fist #1 was better than the Netflix series. Mike Perkins' art is perfect for Danny, and it's heading to a tournament of badass kung-fu fighting next issue. Cap #14 keeps moving the pieces into place for Secret Empire #0. Unworthy Thor #5 actually has the words that made Thor feel unworthy. And Darth Maul #2 adds some well known bounty hunters.

For Image, Curse Words continues to be my favorite new book their publishing. Black Hammer #7 for Dark Horse actually has what happened to the Black Hammer. And Valiant's X-O Manowar #1 by Matt Kindt is a masterclass on how to launch a title.
