Doctor Strange Vacations on Krakoa in Savage Avengers #0 [Preview]
Savage Avengers gets a #0 issue next week from Marvel Comics, ostensibly providing backstory for the Savage Avengers series, but more accurately offering an excuse to reprint the classic story from Uncanny X-Men #190-191 by Chris Claremont and John Romita Jr. and sell it for five bucks. But, following the Major X #0 model, it will also come with a short framing story by The Gerry Duggan of Comics, Gerry Duggan, and Greg Smallwood, and of that, we have a preview.
And in our preview, we find a drunken pyro awakened by an uninvited and perhaps unwelcome visitor to Krakoa: Doctor Strange! But he knows the way to Pyro's heart: liquor.
But Kid Cable, who isn't old enough to drink, is unimpressed with Strange's gift, even if it is bigger on the inside. But Strange isn't here for him. He's here for Magik.
The story continues… briefly, because it's mostly going to be a reprint… when Savage Avengers #0 hits stores on Wednesday.
