Event Leviathan's Big Target Is… Social Networking for Superheroes? (Spoilers)
It's always the bloody scientists. Oh, they may be altruistic as all hell, but the moment a big supervillain comes along willing to fund whatever it is they are doing, maybe flattering their skills in the process, then all factors of morality go out of the window. Sociopaths, the lot of them. In faction at least – but then the Nazis managed to get plenty of them onside as well. Stalin would have done as well if he hadn't shot them or sent them to the gulag. Pol Pot had anyone with glasses shot, so he was on a non-starter. Every AIM out there is just waiting to be courted by Hydra.
And the new Leviathan over at DC Comics, it really values its scientists. And so we see something that ARGUS was launching called Odyssey, just thirty-five minutes ago forty-two minutes ago. How very Hitch-Hikers. And while it looks like a Stargate…
It seems that it was more of a social media platform for superheroes. Or something. Developed by Doctor Strand (who hell she?) for ARGUS, to connect super and non-super in some kind of great spirit of understanding and co-operation.
I would like to have seen Lobo's Odyssey page. Or even Crush's page. And as everything starts to go kablooey courtesy of Leviathan, Doctor Strand is still holding on.
