Frank Cho Draws Mary Jane… Like You Would Expect Frank Cho To Draw Mary Jane

I've been enjoying the Liberty Meadows piggy bank I picked up at San Diego Comic Con. A strange combination of innocence and subversion. It's an area Frank Cho seems to specialise in.

And weirdly it's one that's still present in, say, his private commission work, such as the heavily censored Mary Jane image here, created for a fan.

You can see the non-censored NSFW version here.

Apparently it took Frank quite some time.

Private ballpoint pen commission for a very, very patient art collector. (Thanks again for your patience, D.) With my hectic and uneven workload, I could only work on this piece just little bit at a time during my free periods.

I don't believe I've tackled a large Mary Jane piece before, especially in her iconic introduction. I rather enjoyed drawing this piece, and probably do another version in a slightly different pose.
