Gus Gordon's Debut Graphic Novel, Into The Bewilderness For 2024
Into the Bewilderness: The Short-Sighted Adventures Of Luis & Pablo is the debut graphic novel by Gus Gordon (Herman and Rosie), the short-sighted adventure of a bear named Luis and a mole named Pablo who inexplicably receive Broadway tickets and venture bravely into the unknown of the city on a journey dotted with surprises, nonsensical revelations and silly musical interludes.
Gus Gordon is a children's book illustrator and writer based in Sydney, Australia who has written and illustrated over 70 books for children. Gordon's book 'Herman and Rosie' was chosen as the 2013 'Read for Australia' book and won the 2013 CBCA 'Honour Award' for best picture book. It was also shortlisted for the 2014 German Youth Literature Award, the Sakura Medal in Japan and the 2014/2015 Les Incorruptibles prize in France.
Into the Bewilderness has been picked up by Kait Feldmann at Clarion with publication for 2024. Gus Gordon's agent Charlie Olsen at InkWell Management represented the author for world English rights, while Australia and New Zealand rights went to Ana Vivas at Hardie Grant.
