It's Rich Johnston's Birthday And It's All His Fault

Rich Johnston is 5 years old today. Wait, no, 15? Maybe 16. It's hard to tell. And yet he's been digging into comics' dirty laundry for at least 20 years. In fact, when I met him for the first time I thought he was mathematically too young looking to be Rich Johnston, but then I realized that he started on this long, dark path into comics madness at an unconscionably young age.

However old he is today, Bleeding Cool is the product of his teeming brain and if you're reading this, you have him to thank or blame for it. So, Happy Fucking Birthday, Rich Johnston, from all the writers here at Bleeding Cool, and from all your readers who, because of you, can't walk down the street without checking their smartphones to see what mayhem you are up to. What would we do without him?

But let's do a comparison/contrast of photos just to embarrass him. Why not?

Oh dear, he seems to have lost a few groupies along the way and gone in a whole new direction courtesy of Dean Haspiel, but building a website in less than 5 years to become the most influential comics blog in the world will do that to you. He has only himself to blame.
