Mojo Knows What Readers Want in Next Week's Mr. and Mrs. X #8

Creating entertainment is a tricky business. Do you give the customers what they claim to want? Or do you give them what you know they really want, but won't admit? Here at Bleeding Cool, we know our readers claim to want substantive, fact-based news reports, but the evidence tells us what they click on are salacious headlines filled with barely spellchecked, seo-keyword-rich copy.

It's the same here as in the Mojoverse, where Mojo has captured Rogue and Gambit and put them on his television network in Mr. and Mrs. X. But the ratings just weren't good enough with just those two, so Mojo has decided to introduce Longshot and make it a love triangle.

Of course they do! And another thing they love is referencing past continuity, and when it comes to Rogue and Longshot, there's definitely been something there since back in the Outback X-Men days.

But look, it's the 21st century, people. Does it really need to be a love triangle? Why not a devil's triangle instead?

Mr. and Mrs. X #8 hits stores on Wednesday.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
