Has Anyone Else Had Their Marvel Unlimited History Deleted?
There's a Bleeding Cool reader… let's call him Gerry. Because that's his name. He is a subscriber to Marvel Unlimited, the all-you-can-eat streaming service for Marvel Comics back-issues, which also lets you download titles, lets you know which titles you have read and lines up new comic books. Well, this is how his conversation went with Marvel Unlimited Customer Support after he logged on to discover all that data had been deleted.
29th August
GERRY: Hi…I opened up my app and was able to see comics but my history and reading lists were gone. I logged out and now cannot log back in.
GERRY: Update: logged back in but history is still empty
31st August
GERRY: Following up.
3rd September
SUPPORT: We will pass this on to our technical department that your reading list history is empty.
GERRY: Thank you!
13th September
GERRY: Hi. I have not heard from the technical department about this. I also emailed support twice over this issue with no response. Can you please help follow up? I do not want to cancel my subscription but if this issue cannot be resolved and if there is no communication with me, then I may have no other choice.
SUPPORT: Unfortunately the reading list history and the library for the Marvel Unlimited app cannot be recovered at this time. Unfortunately you will just have to re-add the comics to the My Library in the Marvel Unlimited App. We apologize for the inconvenience.
GERRY: Thank you for your honesty and response. I have an annual subscription. I would like a prorated refund.
SUPPORT: We are sorry that you have decided to cancel your Marvel Unlimited subscription. At this time you have been issued a refund of $47.32. Please allow up to 5 business days for this to process and appear in your bank account. Your subscription has been cancelled and you will no longer be charged. We thank you for being a Marvel Unlimited member and hope you will return again to the mighty Marvel fold.
Anyone else had similar issues? Or is Gerry just very unlucky?
