Scott Rosenberg Finds His Pot At The End Of The Rainbow?

Scott Rosenberg Finds His Pot At The End Of The Rainbow?Platinum Studios has been accused of burning and burning investment cash over the last couple of decades – with occasional skirmishes, scams, missed payments and dodgy deals on the way – but finally could its day have come?

On the back of the high profile filming of Cowboys & Aliens this summer, twenty years in the making since it was just a poster, leading talent manager ICM has signed Platinum with a number of deals including the in pre-production Cowboys & Aliens, the already-filmed Dylan Dog and a few others in various stages of interest. This is a significant vote of confidence in the studio as a whole from a major Hollywood player.

Platinum head honcho Scott Rosenberg, of comic book distributors and publishers of old, has appeared to spin a complex web of promotion, exaggeration and never-never over the years, but finally that web has set and it seem to be self-supporting.

Got to admire a player at work like that. Makes Mark Millar look like the tea boy…
