Terrific Production LLC Wants Chris Claremont for New Youngblood, Jim Lee for DC Crossover

Bleeding Cool has been dutifully following and reporting on the ongoing Twitter exploits of Terrific Production LLC, the publisher owned by Andrew Rev which recently acquired the rights to Youngblood against the wishes of creator Rob Liefeld. Terrific has been looking to recruit comic book creators on Twitter, even offering to take young up-and-comers like Ryan Stegman and turn them into stars. Terrific has even made overtures toward Alan Moore, as well as David LaphamJames Tynion IV, and Evan Dorkin, amongst others. Terrific's most recent attempt to recruit creators online targeted Brian Wood for a series of Youngblood prose novels.

This week, Terrific announced a new Youngblood series in Youngblood Unchained #1, though it doesn't seem they have a creative team yet. To that end, the publisher polled readers and came up with the perfect person for the job: legendary writer Chris Claremont.

There's one problem, of course. Claremont is a Marvel exclusive writer, even though the publisher hasn't used him to write an ongoing series since 2014's Nightcrawler. Maybe Rev could buy out his contract?

In other news, Terrific was pleased to learn that DC executive Hank Kanalz began following them on Twitter, which Terrific believes could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

One which Rev hopes could lead to a crossover with Wildstorm for Youngblood #100 (perhaps Youngblood Unchained will ship with a very advanced shcedule), co-written by Dan Didio and Jim Lee!

Or maybe "The Great One" Brian Bendis will write it. Might as well shoot for the sky.

But Terrific doesn't want to overstep its boundaries or anything…

The saga continues…

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
