L and Light Get Character Posters For Netflix's 'Death Note'
Time for some new character posters for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Death Note. The movie has come under significant fire for its casting and location choices that it make it look like an adaptation in name only. The poster for this series have been surprisingly artistic and the little details in them make them fun to look at if nothing else.
Light is a high school student who begins a crusade to rid the world of evil when he finds a notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it.
There is still no telling how this adaptation is going to turn out and we have a little over a month until it comes out. Netflix must have some confidence in it because it is getting a spot in Hall H at Comic-Con International this weekend.
Either that or they want to do some serious damage control.
Summary: Light Turner, a bright student who stumbles across a mystical notebook that has the power to kill any person whose name he writes in it. Light decides to launch a secret crusade to rid the streets of criminals. Soon, the student-turned-vigilante finds himself pursued by a famous detective known only by the alias L.
Death Note, directed by Adam Wingard, stars Nat Wolff, Lakeith Stanfield, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, and Shea Whigham. It will stream to Netflix on August 25th.
