For those of you not familiar, this is an all-women speedrunning event, run much the way the annual GDQ events are done, as these amazing players will attempt to play games as quickly as possible (and maybe even set a new record or two) as they will use Twitch and other resources to raise money[...]
Games Done Quick's all-women's speedrunning event Flame Fatales will be returning this year from August 15th-21st.
We may be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel for the pandemic, but the reality is we're still a little ways off from public events being relatively safe from possible spreading, so the people in charge have decided to play it safe and are making SGDQ 2021 an online event once again[...]
When all was said and done, the organizers revealed at the end of last night that they had raised $2,758,847 for the effort, another impressive amount that adds to their now over $31m they have raised since starting the event in 2010.

This year for AGDQ, the company will be raising charity funds through Twitch and other donation resources for the Prevent Cancer Foundation The event has raised over$22 million for various charities over the years and, as always, is looking to break records from 2019, which at least year's event they raised $2.39m.
