The Winter 2024 anime season starts this week with Crunchyroll premiering three new anime series this week. Everything old is new again, with technopunk thriller Metallic Rouge, historical fantasy Sengoku Youko, and high school delinquent comedy spoof BUCCHIGIRI?! joining the streaming roster on Crunchyroll's intimidatingly huge catalogue of anime series. It's certainly a different set of genres from the usual weaponised high school students, Isekai power fantasies, and shoujo romantic comedies. There's something for everyone in the anime world! The premiere dates and trailers are below.
Metallic Rouge (BONES)
In a world where humans coexist with androids called Neans, a group known as the Immortal Nine rises up against society. Tasked with disposing of the revolters, a Nean named Rouge Redstar (aka Metal Rouge) and investigator Naomi Orthmann head to Mars to track them down…but first, Rouge wants some chocolate.

Sengoku Youko (WHITE FOX)
