New Organ Donor Team Announced for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert"
The Emmy award winning The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is making some changes to their writing pool, and has named a new head writing team. That team will be made up of Jay Katsir, Ariel Dumas, and Opus Moreschi, according to Deadline.
I have worked with all three of these incredibly talented people since The Colbert Report. I am thrilled that someone as funny and dedicated as Ariel will be my new head writer and that Opus and Jay will continue to be comedic Gibraltars, on which I can lean, and host donors, from whom I can harvest organs. -Stephen Colbert
I'm not entirely sure what Colbert means about harvesting his writing staff's organs— did the previous head writing staff expire after having theirs harvested? Is Colbert selling writer's organs on the black market, hoping to raise enough money to release the Snyder cut? Or is he perhaps admitting to being some sort of Invader Zim type alien, trying to convince people he's human by being full of all kinds of organs?
That will have to remain a mystery. The new head writing team we actually know something about. Katsir is already the head writer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, while Dumas has been a writer and digital producer on the show. Moreschi is a supervising producer on the show and will be picking up some other duties in his new role.
All three writers have an impressive array of Emmy wins under their belts, which they will hopefully live long enough to admire. We'll be keeping an eye on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to make sure nothing untoward happens to any of them.
