Carnage is one of Spider-Man's most dangerous and violent foes, and he made his first appearance in Marvel Comics back in 1992. In The Amazing Spider-Man #300, Marvel fans were introduced to Venom, the combination of Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote that Peter Parker acquired on Battleworld in Secret Wars. These two went toe-to-toe for years, and Eddie ended up in prison without his symbiote. While in prison, he was bunked with the serial killer known as Cletus Kasady, who is an erratic man with a lust for blood. After the symbiote breaks Eddie out of prison, a piece of Venom is left behind and bonds with Cletus, making something more murderous and chaotic than ever imagined. It took many decades, but Carnage did make it to the big screen with Venom: Let There Be Carnage, twisting the symbiote origins but keeping a truly wicked design that fans can now bring home.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage arrived in 2021, with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock/Venom and Woody Harrelson taking up the mantle as Cletus Kasady/Carnage. Harrelson's portrayal of Kasady captured the character's psychopathic tendencies with some high-octane bloody action. Slightly different from the comics, Kasady becomes the host for the Carnage symbiote after he ends up biting Eddie Brock and ingesting his blood. While the film was indeed something else, the design for this creature was pure horror (in a good way), and Hot Toys is one of the few to actually bring him to life. Thanks to Sideshow Collectibles, we were able to get up close with their massive 1/6 scale Carnage figure, which will surely turn your collection red.

Carnage comes in at a massive 16.9" tall, stands taller than the 1/6 scale Hot Toys Venom, and will tower over any standard 12" release. A lot of wicked detail was put into this figure with some gruesome craftsmanship; with a skin-textured body, sculpted bones, and blood-red deco. Two heads are featured with a sweet magnetic feature along with a variety of swappable magnetic tongues that can really get your blood flowing. Hot Toys did not hold back with the weapons as he had three attachable back tendrils that could wield seven different symbiotic weapons! On top of that, he has swappable hands and arms to increase his arsenal, which will surely help him get his point across. When Marvel fans fully equip Carnage, he is kind of a lot. This is not a bad thing, but it makes him quite top-heavy, so there were some issues with his ankles not supporting so much weight.

I have had my eye on this figure for quite some time and as a massive Venom and Carnage fan, this figure is a true centerpiece. From his colossal size and plethora of weapons to his textured and sculpted symbiote body, he is truly the ultimate weapon for any symbiote collection. Hot Toys really allows fans to take a deeper look at these designs, and this one is a work of art, with veins, tendrils protruding around his body, an almost ooze design, and even a wicked skeletal design with the legs. Pairing this brute with the Hot Toys Venom was even more of a masterpiece, capturing the deadly creatures between two of Marvel Comics' deadliest aliens. To make things better, a Venom bust is also included with the Deluxe Hot Toys Carnage which does include a fantastic Eddie Brock/Venom head sculpt, which was not offered in the first Venom films 1/6 scale Hot Toys release.

If you love Venom or Carnage, then this is a figure that will truly take the collection to new bloody levels. The realistic sculpture and design are not like those seen in Marvel Comics, but they are bloodied, realistic designs that just work. There are not many collectibles for the Venom films from Sony, so this release is one fans will not want to miss. Whether you love the villain or want a true horrorshow for your Hot Toys Spider-Man figures to go against, then look no further. Collectors can snag up one of these deadly beauties right on Sideshow Collectibles now. Be sure to check out the final chapter of the Venomverse with Venom: One Last Dance, arriving in theaters on October 25, 2024.
