Who had this to say,
Well, any fears I had about reaction to Convergence were put to rest. Initial reaction has been very good.
Convergence 1 is doing better than the 0 issue did. The spin offs also did better than I thought they would. Convergence Batman and Robin along with Convergence Justice League most likely would have made our top ten if not for the fact that only half of our order for each title had been sent. Apparently ordering the exact same amount of the variant cover as the regular cover threw off the Diamond employee. The main covers are in more demand than the variant spin off Convergence covers. To much blue according to most customers. Even at $9.99 Deadpool still sold well. Ryan Reynolds hyping Deadpool has helped the character's popularity even though he was very popular to start with. Darth Vader 4 still selling very well. Though this issue was a lot less in demand since the whole order arrived as it should have unlike the previous issue. And there was less hype on it this time around. People have pointed out though that Darth Vader launched later than the main Star Wars title and now has more issues out. Meaning they want more Star Wars! Walking Dead still selling solidly. Great two days of comic sales.
Back issues you say? It's all about Deadpool now thanks to an upcoming movie. Suicide Squads upcoming movie is helping its own title along with Harley Quinn back issues. Upcoming movies impact back issues more than anything now.
As usual, The Walking Dead came out on top. Surprised to see Deadpool make it in the middle of our list. With so much hype around his "death" I was expecting it to be at least #3, but it seems like the $10 price turned a lot of people who were coming in off the street off. Vader continues to be a massive sales juggernaut, and Captain Marvel got a nice little boost thanks to Black Vortex. While Convergence was in our top 3, that didn't translate into the tie-ins. There's a lot that are sitting on the shelf still, and I even had some customers confused about what was happening to the regular DC books that they get. Ah well.
We had a lot of people snap up the Jupiter's Legacy trade alongside Jupiter's Circle #1. The hype machine for the Netflix Daredevil series has kicked in too. Had a ton of people in looking for trades starring ol' hornhead.
