Bombshell covers bumped all of the DC books nicely. Batman Eternal going strong. Original Sin still keeping the interest.
Great week in comics. Original Sin is hooking a lot of people who had sworn off big events because word of mouth on the story is so positive. Millar & Fegredo's MPH sold awesome again this week.
Image's newest title, The Wicked & The Divine had a great opening with us too we sold both the regular cover and Phantom Variants like crazy.
The runaway sales train that is the Guardians of the Galaxy just keeps on going. Been selling singles issues and trades like mad. Stocking our shelves deep with everything Rocket Raccoon!
With a NEAL ADAMS signing on new book day, and Wizard World from Thursday to Sunday, we have been CRAZY BUSY. Neal was a fantastic guest!!!!! very kind and generous with our customers. Thanks again to him in the ether.
DC's variant bombshell covers really helped their books. While Batwoman didn't make it into the top ten it sold more copies for us than it had since it's first year of publication thanks to people wanting the Bombshell cover. The Bombshell cover for Wonder Woman helped her into the top ten. Uncanny X men had a good bump. People really liked the cover. Same with Star Wars Darth Maul Son of Dathomir 2. Covers were what sold the books the last two days.
Harley Quinn was the clear winner along with strong sale from all the Bombshells. Batman Eternal is still going strong even after 11 weeks. The disappointment of the week was Sex Criminals which for the first time did not even come close to selling out.
Batman was the back-issue king and not with just the New 52. Pretty much anything with a bat symbol sold through out the week.
The first series of the Hulk has seen new increased demand. All the rumors about another possible solo Hulk film is getting people excited. Had one person alone drop $100 on Incredible Hulk back issues today. Marvel needs to get their various movie related characters with good long term creative teams. The average fan of Hulk, Captain America, and the Avengers are now more excited about their back issues than the current comics featuring the characters. And what's this about next year seeing a possible new Crisis?
