Classic Webspinners, Marvel Knights, Punisher, Quasar and Thunderbolts Hit Marvel Unlimited in December

Marvel has revealed the list of comics hitting Marvel Unlimited in December, which of course includes the usual set of time-delayed current series, but of more interest to Marvel Unlimited connoisseurs, some previously digitally unavailable classic comics. This month sees Webspinners: Tales of Spider-Man hit the service in its entirety. Webspinners was a Spider-Man anthology comic that featured multi-issue stories by various creative teams, and featured such talent as J. M. DeMatteis, Eric Stephenson, Keith Giffen, Bart Sears, and others. Launching 3 years after the end of the Clone Saga, Webspinners was part of an attempt to cut down on the number of Spider-Man titles which would ultimately fail, as Marvel just can't help but keep adding new series featuring their top-selling characters and it's never long after a consolidation that a line of Marvel comics explodes to new levels of bloat.

Also hitting Marvel Unlimited this month is the 2002 Marvel Knights vol. 2 mini-series by John FigueroaAlberto PonticelliNathan Eyring, and Richard Starkings, the first 18 issues of The Punishers's first ongoing series from 1987 (which featured the creative team of Mike Baron and Klaus Jansen, though Jansen would later be replaced by Whilce Portacio and Scott Williams, along with assorted colorists), Quasar #10-25 and Thunderbolts #23-41.
