DC Comics Makes First Two Issues of New Lois Lane Comic Returnable

July sees the publication of Lois Lane #1, the new 12-part comic book series by Greg Rucka and Mike Perkins, spinning out of the current Brian Bendis Event Leviathan comic book series. To help ensure there are plenty of copies on the stand when it is released – and I understand it may be a tad controversial – DC Comics is making the comic book fully returnable to comic stores that order as many copies as they did of Action Comics #1006. So comic stores can order lots of copies, safe in the knowledge that they can return any unsold copies for full credit from DC Comics.

And it looks like DC Comics will be doing the same with Lois Lane #2 as well. DC Comics has been upping the number of comics they make returnable in this fashion for some time, including Superman: Year One and Event Leviathan. And at the DC Retailer Summit in Las Vegas, we learnt that a number of other titles would soon receive that treatment, including Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #1, Doom Patrol: Weight of The Worlds #1, Collapser #1, Batman/Superman #1 and Wildcats #1. We'll report on the qualifying details as and when we get them.
