Everything Shortbox Published in 2018
We have mentioned ShortBox, a box of comics exclusively created and shipped out by mail every quarter, and published by Zainab Akhtar, on Bleeding Cool before.
They've now shown off every comic book they published this year…
While it appeals to the subscription service model popularised by Loot Crate, each ShortBox must be individually ordered, but it fits into the marketplace mindset of that model fairly easily as well as being named after the cardboard boxes that comic collectors use to keep their periodicals minty fresh.
As of this year, they began using distribution with White Squirrel. to the USA and Canada as well as the UK. And they tweeted out the many different publications they were responsible for this year…
Each contains five new comic books, from a specifically curated range of contemporary and international cartoonists and artists, at least one extra item such as an exclusive print, art zine, limited edition pin – and some sweets to help fill the package…
