Exactly Why Eddie Brock Needs a Break on Venom Island in Venom #21 (Spoilers)
Absolute Carnage ended with victory-ish, Carnage killed at the hands of a certain Dylan Brock. It was quite a thing. Or was it? It did meant that something dreadful and dangerous in Knull was still coming to Earth. Just as something dreadful and dangerous is coming to Earth in Thor. And something dreadful, and dangerous is coming to Earth in Incoming. Twice. But it was a double death for Carnage in Absolute Carnage. The Norman Osborne version of himself at the hands of Dylan Brock.
And the Cletus Kasady version…
…at the hands of Eddie Brock.
Who killed Kassady and absorbed the Carnage symbiote within himself.
Well in today's Venom #21, we learn that it's just not that easy is it? As Eddie Brock and Venom get the call to join the Avengers, we get a certain voice recurring,..
Kasady is dead. Carnage is not.
And he is holding Eddie Brock to ransom.
What he needs is a vacation. And Venom Island sounds like just the place – well he's been there before…

Venom #21 is published today from Marvel Comics. I bought mine from Piranha Comics in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Piranha Comics is a small south London comic store chain with a small south-east store in Kingston-Upon Thames's market centre, which runs Magic The Gathering nights on Fridays, and a larger south-west store in Bromley, which also runs Magic nights and has an extensive back issue collection and online store. If you are in the neighbourhood, check them out.
