Former Image Brand Manager David Brothers Joins Viz Media as Editor

Former Image Comics brand manager David Brothers has joined San Francisco based manga and anime publisher Viz Media as an editor. Publishers Weekly reported the new role, as retweeted by Brothers on Twitter.

Brothers announced his departure from Image Comics in December on Twitter.

In addition to leaving his longtime role at Image, Brothers made headlines in December by tweeting about rumors new Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski pretended to be a Japanese man named Akira Yoshida to write comics for Marvel and others, which Cebulski later admitted to Bleeding Cool, leading to mainstream media coverage of the incident. At Image, Brothers' old role was filled by Sean Edgar, the company announced via press release.

We wish Brothers the best of luck in his new role.
