Free At San Diego. Expensive Online.
Marq Romero picked up some of the following at San Diego Comic Con…
It's no surprise that many people buy the Comic Con exclusives to resell on eBay for two to four times the retail price. You can count me as one of these people, except you won't find me camping out overnight just so I can be the first person at the Hasbro booth. For those who enjoy their sleep like I do, you don't need to jeopardize your health and good hygeine to make a few extra bucks. There are tons of free swag given out at booths, some you can even score multiples of the same item. You just need to know which ones have the potential to sell for a decent amount on ebay. Your best bet is to stick with the big names, for example, Marvel. Several of their free giveaway items are going for up to $60 on ebay like these Marvel posters.
I recently sold an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D./Agent Carter poster for $20.
The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. comic book is selling for as much as $30.
And if you attended the Marvel TV panel, attendees received a sweet "Security Lanyard". Does it give you Level 7 access though? Which sold for $80.
All of these items were free. Sleeping bag not required.
Rich adds – this was Marq's swag photos from the show. You can do the math yourself…
Favorite swag: Lucille from The Walking Dead.
