Marvel Comics Teases Uncanny X-Men With Animated Look For FCBD

One of the credos of the House Of X relaunch of the X-Men in 2019 from Marvel was that there wasn't an Uncanny X-Men series spinning out of it.

One of the credos of the House Of X relaunch of the X-Men in 2019 from Marvel was that there wasn't an Uncanny X-Men series spinning out of it. We have X-Men, a bunch of other X-books, but no Uncanny X-Men, the adjective most associated with the mutant team. It was seen as a dividing moment, between the pre-Krakoan and post-Krakoan age of X-Men. But with Fall Of X coming, might that mean a change of status quo again, signalled by the return of Uncanny X-Men? Marvel has issued the following PR for their Free Comic Book Day titles for Saturday, the 6th of May 2023 stating "Javier Garrón joins Duggan for a story that features the rise of Stark Sentinels and lays the groundwork for an uncanny new team book launching later this year." And with a Cyclops looking very much like his nineties and animates self, based on the Jim Lee design as well. Almost as if they will want to look like the upcoming X-Men 97 cartoon series on Disney+… oh yes and Spider-Man fighting gorillas.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2023: AVENGERS/X-MEN #1 features a pair of all-new stories that set the stage for the next evolution in mutant adventures, FALL OF X!
