27 From Image Comics Sells Out Two Weeks Before ShippingBleeding Cool mentioned that there might be a little more demand for this comic than retailers may have initially considered.

I understand that, even though 27, the new Image comic from Charles Soule and Renzo Podesta, a fantasy about musicians and artists who died at the age of 27, won't ship until the first week of December, the full first print run, including a generous overprint, has been snapped up. And the folks are already working on a second print.

This comic follows a run of first issues from Image Comics that have been seriously initially underordered, and proving ample room for speculators to get back in the market. With Walking Dead, Chew, Morning Glories and Skulkickers providing plenty of precendent, 27 seems to be the latest recipient of this attention.

See if your retailer will reserve you one of the two of three copies of the first print they preordered…

Of cpurse, the next trick is trying to find a comic called 27 listed on eBay.
