Alex Segura Jr Goes Back To Archie
Back in 2005 I used to get e-mails from this guy;
Alex Segura Jr.
Public Relations Coordinator (Direct Market)
Archie Comic Publications
Then he went to DC Comics as Publicity Manager and, well, I stopped getting emails from him.
And now he's back. After announcing his last day at DC Comics last week, it looks like he's remaining on the East Coast and is now… well…
Archie Comics, the home of some of the most recognizable and beloved comic book characters in the world, including Archie, Betty and Veronica, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Josie and the Pussycats, announced today the hiring of Alex Segura as Executive Director of Publicity and Marketing.
Okay, so that's a promotion. And he's lost the "Jr" too.
Congratulations Alex. Now, make sure you don't sent any artwork to news sites featuring topless women sprawled over your company's leading icon – as you once did with Superman…
Although weirdly the PR being sent out doesn't mention his previous stint at the company. Segura is quoted as saying "My first comic book was a copy of BETTY AND VERONICA DOUBLE DIGEST, so coming to Archie is in many ways a homecoming," as opposed to, an actual homecoming.
I think I'm due my first e-mail, don't you?
