I have occasionally considered one day we may have a TV Star Wars/Doctor Who crossover called Mandalore vs. Trenzalore. Well, today we got a step closer.

Our friends at Making Star Wars are reporting a rumour that Jon Favreau's Star Wars live-action TV series, set after the events of Return of the Jedi, will focus on about the planet Mandalore. After the fall of the Empire, Mandalore falls into a state of turmoil and must, somehow, recover. The Fall and Rise of Mandalore?

Making Star Wars dives into all the possibilities this might mean, how it ties into the movies and the cartoons, with The Siege of Mandalore on the way…

Making Star Wars are pretty good with this stuff. If they were Lying in the Gutters I think they would give it a yellow-to-green light…
