Malta Comic Pop Culture Expo Will Be Back In October

The MaltaComics Pop Culture Expo has announced that having been successful in its first year in 2013, it will be returning from October 31st to November 2nd in 2014, held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, Malta's Capital City. The con says:

This type of event is sorely lacking within this part of Europe/Mediterranean region, therefore, we hope to bring some fun over here and spread the Comic Culture as we are promoting the event in many countries around the region.

The Expo hosts a comic convention, statue & toy fair and also a film festival. Companies displaying their collectibles will include Sideshow, WETA, Kotobukiya, Bowen, Hot Toys, Diamond Comics Distributors, Gentle Giant, Marvel, DC, Hasbro, and Mattel among others. International and local artists will be tabling during the event, doing sketches, signing comics, displaying portfolios. There will also be a "massive gaming section" including table top gaming, RPG's and video gaming. Likewise, there's going to be a Cosplay Competition and free comics given out during the event. They are really covering all their bases when it comes to areas of interest, and that may be the key to their initial success and ongoing appeal.
