Marvel Issues Retailer Incentives For Black Panther, Civil War II And Captain America: Steve Rogers Launches
As well as the Captain America: Sam Wilson #7 cover (left), both Avengers Standoff: Assault On Pleasant Hill Omega #1 and Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 will have Jim Steranko drawn variant covers, which can now be ordered on top of previous orders by retailers.
But how else is Marvel persuading retailers to up their numbers on upcoming titles?
Retailers who order 200% of their Doctor Strange #2 numbers when ordering Black Panther #1 will get a big discount on that order, increasing their profit margin considerably. And even those who only order 150% get a decent enough deal.
While all retailers have to do when ordering Civil War II #0 is match or exceed 90% or 70% of their orders for Secret Wars #9 for a similar sized discount.
And the same with Civil War II #1, though you have to match 150% or 125% of Secret Wars #9.
While Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 gets that kind of deal when you match 250% or 225% of orders for Captain America: Sam Wilson #2…
Look for these four books to make some serious impact in the charts when they are released as a result – but with those kinds of retailer discounts, to be far higher on the unit sales than the dollars earned monthly chart…
